What did you really think of the new Why? record? Alopecia was one of my favourites last year and I was a bit disappointed by Eskimo Snow (but now I'm wondering whether I'm being hasty).
ReplyDeleteWell, at first I hated it. Then I gave it a few more listens... then I had like this transcedent moment where I'm like 'this is brilliant...' I think the guy from Lambchop is responsible for this, since I got the same kind of thing listening to his own records. He produced it, ya know ;)
ReplyDeleteI'll give it some time then. The same thing happened to me with a few records (and a few bands, most noticeably Arcade Fire.)
ReplyDeleteBTW, good to see a Lady Sovereign track in there, I'm going to sneak one into my set on Saturday.
The best part of that song is 'the closest you've been to U.S. is Southampton' :D
